Polar Bear Walk
What a beautiful and very refreshing weekend I had at home. I’m calling it a “snow weekend”.
Saturday was spent hanging out bird watching all day. Winter weather really brings the birds to the feeder. I love watching them fluff out their breast feathers to keep warm. Like little feather puff balls. Even though it’s cold and frozen outside, there is still a lot of energy movement all around.
Sunday the storm had passed, the sun was shining and now it was time for some of my own energy movement. I bundled up with my new “Cousin Eddie” hat, heavy black coat, and new winter gloves and got to work. I had an amazing time outside in the snow. Shoveling the sidewalk and clearing the snow off my car, left me wanting more.
So, I grabbed my walking stick and hit the trail for a Polar Bear walk. The snow was so sparkly. It was speaking to me with its flash of sparkles as I blazed a fresh trail to the bench located along the trail, I frequent a lot.
Sitting in the stillness of the snow day, really cleared my mind. The Runes Isa, Hagalaz and Laguz entered my space as a sign that I needed to sit still with myself, reflect and refresh, and then let it flow so I can let it go.
I hope you were able to get out and enjoy the cold and snow. It is good for the soul to slow down and connect with nature.
